Mindfulness

MINDFULNESS

Inner Pedagogy offers two Integral Mindfulness courses plus occasional workshops.

Integral Mindfulness – Introduction.
An 8-week course to introduce you to the benefits of mindfulness and help you establish a daily practice. An integral approach syntheses science, psychology and spirituality whilst remaining open and inclusive to all. The course also integrates elements from mindfulness-based stress-reduction, cognitive therapy and compassion focused courses to offer a more complete experience.

Integral Mindfulness – Deepening Your Practice.
This unique course is for anyone who has already undertaken an intensive mindfulness course and wishes to revisit and/or deepen their practice. It will include a variety of body/mind practices, including Tension Release Exercises (TRE), breathwork and sound-healing. It is particularly suitable for anybody who feels they are navigating an awakening process and/or wishes to further integrate experiences from their previous inner work.

Course Features

What is an Integral approach?

These courses draw upon Mindfulness-based stress-reduction, cognitive therapy and self-compassion variations. More deeply, they draw upon both science and spirituality. Care is taken to create a space where all experience is valid. Informed by integral theory, both courses adopt the position that awakening occurs both intellectually and experientially. Alongside wisdom traditions, the theoretical components draw upon the latest research in quantum physics and psychology, humanistic and transpersonal theory in particular.

Which course is for me?

The introductory course is open to all adults. The deepening your practice course is for adults who have already experienced an intensive Mindfulness course.

Mindfulness and other forms of meditation are safe and associated with numerous health and spiritual benefits. Current research indicates that all forms of meditation may be unwise for people with some mental health difficulties and/or those who are suffering from recent trauma or bereavement . Please contact Edward if you wish to discuss whether now is the right time for you to participate.

What should I expect?

Each weekly session will include some theoretical teaching content, at least two guided meditations and a period of inquiry. The inquiry process creates a space to reflect upon and share your experience, often deepening the learning. You should be able to commit to attending the whole course and practising meditation for 20-40 mins 6 days a week.

What's included?

Every participant receives a course booklet, set of audio meditation files, an integration diary, completion certificate and a one-to-one life coaching interview.
